]]> I called eBay and spoke to a customer service rep, who said anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle where the seller claims to use the eBay protection plan or eBay safe harbor should contact eBay via eMail to determine if the seller is registered with eBay. If they aren’t (and they aren’t) then it’s a scam, eBay said. Also, eBay does NOT get involved in the transaction and is only the Web site to list items for sale.
