Concession trailer scammers waiting for suckers

It always amazes me that people can be so gullible to think a concession trailer with all the accessories or quality trailer can be offered for about $2000. Where is your common sense? Don’t you do any research? Why would you send money to some unknown place without seeing the trailer? Most of these scammers offer free shipping. Don’t you realize shipping would be over that?

A quality well built and equipped trailer exceeds $40,000. How could you buy it for $2009?
These ads are placed by computer bots and are probably done in a group of scammers, perhaps Nigerian or Eastern European. They appear thousands of times all over the U.S. Flag them. Craig’s does NOTHING to police this. Also be aware of scammers for cars, trucks, ATCs, tickets, real estate and elecronics. Craig’s is useless for anything but face to face exchange.

I have a collection of about 40 photos of various concession trailers used in scam ads.

Then I received an email with the following:

Hello there Denise,

My name is Lisa, happy to see you are interested in my 1995 John Deere 5400 Tractor. Let me give you a few details about it. Really good shape, never had any problems with it, tires in great shape as well, electric is working, 3PT Hitch, the tractor has 2160 hours & 60 Horsepower. I am selling it at this final price of $1,500 because my husband died 3 months ago (he had a heart attack) and it brings me bad memories and that’s the reason why I want to sell it asap. Me along with my daughter decided to sell the house and so we moved to my sister in Omaha, NE trying to start a new life.

I want to use eBay? services for the safety of both of us. The financial part will be managed by them, which means that you will have a 5 days inspection period before committing to buy the tractor. Using eBay Motors we are both 100% covered during the steps of this transaction. so if you’re interested in purchasing this tractor just email me with your full name, address including the zip code and phone number, so I can notify eBay? that you are selected as my possible buyer and they will contact you to explain the entire procedure.

Hi again,

I’m a flight attendant for American Airlines and because I’m away most of the time I will not be able to deal in person. Before leaving I had pre-arranged a deal with eBay so my presence is not necessary. The camper is in their possession ready to be delivered. eBay will handle this transaction for me. The total amount that you will pay is $1,500 with shipping and transfer fees included. You will receive the camper in max 48 hours and you will have the chance to inspect it for 5 days. The eBay department will hold and insure your money throughout the inspection. If by any reason you find something you don’t like about the camper you can send it back at my expense and eBay will send you a full refund. I’m sure it won’t be the case because the camper is in excellent condition. It will come with all the necessary paperwork (clear title, bill of sale, user’s manual etc). You will receive all the original documents. I signed all the paperwork and the clear title is ready to be transferred to the new owner.

If you are interested in buying my camper please send me your full name, full shipping address and phone number so I can register the transaction with eBay and they will reply you with more details and information about this transaction.

Thanks, hope to do business with you soon!

2008 Mercedes Benz C 350 Sport

Melissa Brown email address [email protected] selling 2008 Mercedes c350 on craigslist. SCAM claiming uses Ebay buyer protection and ensures they will ship the car once payment is received. told seller I had a relative in the same city/state that they told they lived in and my relative would complete the transaction in person, but “Melissa” insisted on wiring the money and I could not, nor my relative could not, see the vehicle before purchase was made.

Avoid military/shipping scam USAF Staff Sgt. Amanda Hudson

I’m a single mom that had to quit my job because my company doubled our travel requirements & there was no way for me to manage being away from my little one for 2 weeks every month. I’m currently searching for a new opportunity. I’ve been bummed because we are living in a little lake house but we don’t have a boat & summer is coming.
Last night I found a beautiful pontoon boat on Craigslist for $2,500…figured it was a misprint and reached out for more info. I’m basically broke but just received a large tax return. So, I thought if this was for real I would risk it! I showed my son the picture of this beautiful 21ft red Bennington 2009 pontoon boat. He said, “Oh Mom, We HAVE to get that boat!!!” So I responded to the ad & also sent an email to the email address provided. [email protected]

She replied…

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in purchasing my 2009 Sedonda Bennington 2075 with trailer. The reason I’m selling this boat way below market value, is because I’m serving in Offutt AFB, Nebraska but I was promoted and transferred to Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage Alaska for a 3 years period, so I don’t need it anymore at this time. I don’t want it get old in my garage, and I need to sell it before April 13th. The boat is in pristine condition, single outboard engine, clear title, no dents or dings. Always garaged, never abused or raced, 90 HP, gas fuel type and 21 feet. If you are interested, it’s still available for sale and the price, as stated in the ad, is $2,500. Let me know if you are interested.

USAF Staff Sgt. Amanda Hudson

I was so excited! Military…sounds trustworthy… female…a little extra trustworthy…moving to Alaska…wants some quick cash…sure.
I was doubtful that someone in the military could afford to take a huge hit on a luxury item like a boat so I started researching what these were actually selling for…about $25k that’s suspicious! I looked up Amanda Hudson on Facebook & found no one in the service. I googled USAF Staff Sgt. Amanda Hudson and these scam warning sites came up!
I’m so disappointed! I really got my hopes up…that this was going to be a huge break for me! ?
I know…if it sounds to good to be true it is… luckily I was smart enough to do some digging…I would never have wired someone money without seeing the boat anyway.

I had already emailed her…/(The heartless theif” in some basement in Turkey somewhere running this huge scam operation)…back asking for pics of the inside & asking where the boat was so I could come see it.

This was the response…

Hi again,

As I’ve told you, at this moment I am in Offutt AFB, NE in a military base. I do a special training program each day, and we are not allowed to use phone line or get out of the unit, during training, otherwise I would have called you and seal the deal on phone. At the moment, email works best for me. The boat is already at our Offutt Air Force Base Library form Offutt AFB, NE sealed and ready to go. The delivery process will be managed by me. I think I can have it there at your home address within 2-3 working days. It will come with a clear title and reg. I am a member of the eBay buyer protection program and using this service you will get a 5 days testing period after delivery. I need to know if you are interested so I can ask eBay to send you the details on this deal. If interested please include in your next email your contact info for eBay (full name, shipping address and phone number), so we can get the ball rolling.

Thank you!

My questions…

1. Why is she advertising in Jackson, MI is she is in Nebraska?

2. I never have her my phone number why would she suggest she would have called.

3. What does ebay have to do with any of this?

What a heartless piece of crap!!!

Please avoid this military/shipping scam!!!!

Scam from [email protected]

You are receiving this e-mail because Amy Hanet, has selected eBay Buyer Protection to handle a secure online transaction with you. This was a scam that I was brought in to via Facebook on a vehicle buy sell trade site. I have done a lot of research on this and if you google the email address [email protected] you will get a hit from all over the US with the same scam. Nice car for sale and email my sister for details. She is going to sell me a 2008 Toyota Rav4 because her husband died and she moved to Boston. Same story with other versions. Today I got my invoice from “eBay Buyer Protection” telling me to buy 3 eBay cards for $500 each to pay for the car. This includes shipping. Please beware! If it’s too good to be true it is!

Craigslist Charlotte 2014 Tesla Model S Performance – $35000

Hi,
Many thanks for your nice words!

I’m glad to see you have a high interest. I’d like to use eBay – I don’t need to be present to close the deal because I prearranged it with eBay. They’ll hold the money so you have the chance to inspect the title and the car. Only after you’ve had the chance to do all that will you call eBay and have them release the money. You’re not committed to buy the car either; if you request a refund, eBay will provide it within 24h.

The price includes the delivery and the whole process takes anywhere between 2 – 3 days. After you receive the car, you have a 5 days inspection period – I advise you to have it professionally checked just be 100% sure that there are no issues with it. I’d be really surprised if you found any. There’s also a rejection policy – in case you find any problems. In this case I’ll pay for the returning fees.

If you’re interested in learning more about how it actually works, then all I need is your name, delivery address and phone – eBay will guide you trough the process.

Thanks

I'm selling my car for $35,000, because my husband died two months ago, he had a heart attack. I decided to sell the house and I moved to my mom, trying to start a new life. With a price like that, you might expect it to have some problems, but this car is excellent condition – both mechanically and electrically, no damage history. Since we bought this car, I haven't had any time to enjoy it, and things don't seem to be changing. So, I have decided to let it go. Someone will get a car that they will love.

The car is back in Helen, GA. The thing is, right now, I'm not there because I'm a maintenance worker for the state of GA – we're currently working on the highway. If you have any other questions, or need more info, please feel free to ask.

Thanks,

Amy
