this is a message reply (though not from Laurie Golden) i received in response to my interest in a car being sold way less than blue book value…

It has no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects. So, this story sounds very familiar. here goes the next email that was sent to me…
“Hi again,
As i told you, at this moment I am in MT state in a military base, getting ready for Afghanistan (I hope for the last time). I do a special training program each day and I am not allowed to get out of the unit or give calls whenever I want. The shipping will take 3 to 5 days depending on your location and it’s not a problem because i have considerable discount from eBay and I can do it at no cost for you. As long as I’m dealing with eBay and they can ship the vehicle anywhere in the US,I listed the car in several states because it increases my chances to get it sold much faster. I want to mention that the vehicle was inspected by eBay and fulfils the CO2 Emission standards from all the 50 states so it wouldn’t be a problem for you to register it in your state. You will receive the car along with all the documents including title, bill of sale, 2 set of keys, full service records and more. Because it is a large transaction, we will complete the deal only using an authorized third part like eBay coz I already prearranged the whole process with them, using their escrow Safe Pay Program for vehicles not listed on their website. The car is located in their warehouse in MT (ready for delivery). I’ve asked them to allow viewers to go there and inspect the car but their reply was: “We are not a showroom!” In this case, I will offer a 5-day period to inspect the car from the moment you receive it, before I’ll have your money. I got scammed on this. If anyone has any useful information about them please let me know. I got scammed about 4 days ago and now the police and FBI are involved and will probably never catch these horrible people. Im heartbroken and out of $4000. Please dont reply to them!!

Hi, the carfax report didn’t carry over. All I had to go on was the anonymous picasa web album… but… here’s what I got for ya.

On google’s cache, it says his name is Micheal Owens of Houston TX, but I got a phone # – 206-309-3205 (Seattle Washington). I did a reverse-lookup on that phone number, and someone was using it to solicit for their ‘affiliate marketing’ scheme. It’s in the google search, but the page was taken down –

Bingo!… we have a real email address. PayMeDailyNow.com . That website is registered to a Michael Aadnesen, phone number 916-220-0914 (Folsom CA) .

There’s also a username of “BigMikeAA” in the source code, so michael aadnesen might be his name.

I went on http://www.greatcareerplan.com and signed up… with fake information. It would have been a shame if some computer nerd set up a back-door for anyone to mess up his site. Just for the heck of it.. go to that site, sign up… log into your control panel.. and then type /admin/ after his URL… see what happens.

We were ALMOST SCAMMED by ” LUKAS EISENHOWER ” on(craigslist/Ebay), Almost is the KEY WORD ! Thanks to my husband & his Police background (he’s retired)! I contacted the ARKANSAS STATE POLICE to get this CHECKED OUT (that’s where he stated RV was been held at a shipping warehouse ready to be shipped (by the ARMY.. no doubt) We were almost taken hook, line, & sinker – wanting to purchase a 2001 – FLEETWOOD TIOGA ARROW RV !! The photos that they sent us were unbelieveable , brand new inside & out !! Only
$ 2900.00 purchase price ! Wow, we thought .. 1. Maybe he just needs the money (divorce/military both were stated to us via email). 2. Maybe the vehicle / RV was stolen. 3. If it sounds to good to be true >> you BETTER CHECK IT OUT !!! So, “RED FLAGS” (so to speak) were flown at us ! That’s when I decided to contact the STATE POLICE ! 4. maybe it could have been just the remainder of the loan note that he wanted to get settled for the divorce, (before being shipped to IRAQ..as he stated to us !) The whole Military part is what got to us .. thinking that you are trying to help someone in the military .. (can not believe that these people use that to lure you in !) So, as I stated that’s why we finally decided it needed to be checked out . We figured worst case scenario the State police would just state they couldn’t help ..I AM SO GLAD THEY DID ! THANKS TO THEM !They “He”(eisenhower)even gave us a FAKE VIN # (vehicle identification number)..boy, did they think they had all their bases covered !!!! They were the ones that got scammed !!!!!!!! WE hope they get caught SOON ! WE WILL BE EVER SO GLAD TO TESTIFY AGAINST THEM ~ LET US KNOW WHEN & WHERE !!
To our amazement we found out this was /is A HUGE SCAM !!! T
We were READY to send them $2900.00 … Thank God I notified the STATE POLICE !! I owe them MANY ,MANY THANKS for all of their Help !! To say the least we HAVE FOUND & are IN the PROCESS of Buying another RV . We KNOW IT is LEGIT & not a scam ! (AS THIS one IS !!!! ) Please Don’t be taken in by this guy ! Any all future transactions will be checkout throughly if not by us then by the police ! Sometimes you HAVE to go to EXTEREME MEASURES to make sure that YOU ARE PROTECETED !!!!! I ALMOST FELL FOR THIS SCAM TOO UNTIL I WANTED TO GO BACK AND LOOK AT THE CAR AGAIN AND IT WAS REMOVED FROM CRAIGSLIST. I GOOGLED IT TO SEE IF SHE PLACED THE AD SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THIS SITE POPPED UP. I WASN’T GOING TO SEND MY MONEY UNLESS I GOT THE CAR ANYWAY BUT IT HELPED ME TO STOP WASTING MY TIME WITH THIS PERSON. I ALSO HAD ANOTHER PROSPECTIVE SELLER WHO IS A SCAMMER WITH THE SAME KIND OF EMAIL…SO CALLED EBAY PROTECTION. I’M GOING TO POST IT ON HERE.
