Sgt.William Thompson car scam

Hi All:

I was ALMOST scammed…..a guy selling a nice 2003 Mazda M6, claiming he’s military is going around scamming people. this is what his email will say…..

Hello,

I am emailing you regarding the 2003 Mazda 6 that I have for sale. The general condition of this car is excellent, very well maintained, no damages and no mechanical problems, the engine runs and sounds awesome, automatic transmission, 4 Cylinder 2.3 Liter, tan leather interior and white exterior with no cosmetic complaints really worth comment. The alloys are all presentable and originals the fronts having a few marks, all tyres in good condition with plenty life remaining. Clean carpets, seats, roof, boot and plastics. Both remote keys are present and they are working, no electrical issues. I do have the title, clear, under my name. The car has 90,136 miles, year 2003 and VIN#1YVFP80C635M26324. I’m not interested in any trades only to sell it!

Price was reduced to $1,995 (URGENT SALE) as I need to sell this car before June 25 when I will leave with my platoon back to Afghanistan and don’t want it get old in my backyard.

I though you might want to see more pics, click on this link: http://s1148.photobucket.com/albums/o565/WhiteMazda/?albumview=slideshow

Hope to hear from you as soon as possible!

Thank you,
William Thompson

So watch for this guy!!! He’s not LEGIT!

The email he uses is william47tmp@msn.com

I googled his name and it came up on a scam webpage, he uses the exact same language in his emails. What an insult to our REAL military men and women to use the military as a crutch.

I was just about scammed by this same guy, only for two jetskis that were listed on boattrader.com. He used the exact wording in regards to shipping and the 5 day look period. Same line about getting deployed etc.. beware, and also beware of Google checkout. They have no customer service to report these things and I’m not sure who Tom Carter, 1544 Race Street, Denver CO 80206 is, but that was who the funds were to be released to. William’s supposed address shows William Thompson, 316 North Park Ave. #345, Helena, MT 59623. Beware of any transactions with either of these individuals.
