Don’t get scammed by KAREN55BOSMAN@AOL.COM

I was so saved by this site…I almost fell for this, then I thought I better do one last check. This was just as others on this site with the whole UNICEF bit. Here is what happened.
The 1st email I got was like this…

I’m sorry for the late reply but I had some issues with my laptop and I couldn’t get online to check my email. I still have the car available for sale if you still want it… I would like to tell you that the Sequoia I’m selling is in excellent condition, no damage, no engine problems, garage kept and has a clean title.
The selling price for the car is $2,850.00 with all the delivery and handling costs included (the car is priced for a quick sale). I want to tell you that I am not selling this car for profit or due a lack of money. All I can say is that some recent events in my life made me change my perception of certain things, things that I’ve considered important in the past. I will donate all the money to charity after I sell this car. I am currently on a trip for UNICEF. I don’t want to offend you but the car is priced for a fast sale so please if you intend to apply for a loan or financing do not reply. I want to be sure that we do this transaction in the safest mode possible for both of us. I recommend we do the transaction using eBay because they offer the highest rate of safety and reliability during online transactions. I’ve already included the vehicle into the eBay’s Vehicle Purchase Protection Program, so I will only sell it through eBay. If you want to buy the vehicle and you agree with my terms please reply so I can give you a detailed description of the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection Program. Also, if you need details and pictures of the car please let me know so I can send them to you… Will wait to hear from you.
Thank you, Karen Brosman

Then the 2nd:

Hello again,
I would first like to thank you for your quick reply. As I told you in my first email, the selling price of $2,850.00 includes all the delivery and handling costs for the Sequoia.
I’ve listed the car on craigslist using a software and the car was listed on several US cities to guarantee a fast sale. The car is located in Mobile, AL at a shipping and storage company ready to be delivered. I want the sale to be be done via eBay under their Vehicle Purchase Protection Program (refund policy available) since they offer the highest rate of safety and reliability during online transactions as I said.
Here are the steps of the transaction:
- you give me your full name and address for delivery;
- I start the transaction on eBay;
- they send you the payment instructions;
- you deposit the money into eBay’s trust account;
- they inform me that the payment was received;
- I arrange the delivery of the vehicle;
- you receive the vehicle in 3 days;
- they send me the money.
This way you’ll have a chance to VIEW and TEST the car BEFORE any money will be given to me. The payment method will be established by eBay after the transaction is started. They will hold the money until the car is delivered to you, with its properly executed title. You will have 3 days for the inspection period in which you will decide if you will keep the car or not. If the car is not as described you will have to ship it back to me in 5 business days on my expense, but I am sure that you will love it and that won’t be the case. In order to move forward I will need your full name and address for delivery so I can set up a new transaction case through eBay.
Will wait to hear from you with the requested details.
Best Regards.

When I advised that I needed to see where the car was on Ebay Motors since that was the only way that you can be covered by the VPP. She advised…”I have told you how I can sell you the car, if you comply with my terms. Let me know. “
