Clara Svenson’s latest Scam
Unfortunately, I only found this website after I had been scammed out of $2850 for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4×4 by Clara Svenson and listed on Craig’s List. Her letter sounded much like all the others….”giving the money to charity and involved with UNICEF, truck without a dent or scratch and always garaged in Helena, Montana, wanted to use Ebay (as she had a long account with them) for protection to both of us.” The money had to be sent by Western Union to Chandler Crawford,27 East Jackson St., Orlando, Fla. Clara’s address was listed at 1540 Gallatin Ave, Helena, MT 59601 The central fax number where all information about the money had to be faxed was 1 (206) 888-4042 . I have to admit that everything really looked official, but I feel like such a fool.
I’m 73 years old, live on Social Security and the meager savings that I’ve accumulated after working 50 to 60 hours a week in a glass plant until I was able to retire. Clara and her accomplice have really hurt me. I hope and pray they can be brought to justice and can never scam anyone else.

The motor never let me down, look great and run smoothly.
I’m not trying to offend you, but if you intend to apply for a loan or financing, please don’t go any further because the Truck is priced for a fast sale, and I require a cash transaction. The process will be managed by eBay Company and the transaction will be made only through their eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection plan for the safety of both. The price of the Truck $2,900.00 includes all the shipping and handling costs. The truck is located in Helena, MT at a shipping and storage facility ready to go. If you decide to purchase it, you will receive all the documents of the truck (owner’s manuals, keys, clear title, bill of sale) in order to register it under your name. Regarding the payment, I will use only eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection program. If you are interested, this is how eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection program works:
- You send me your full name, complete address (I need for shipping) and your phone number.
I open a transaction with eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection. eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection will contact you with an invoice regarding our transaction. A lot of people make a living like this I’m sure. They’ll end up paying their abuse, somehow, somewhere. I’m sure of that too. Everything comes back.
I hope they find this person who’s doing this. I am submitting it to the local police department.
