Vehicle Purchase Protection Scam

Hi,
First of all I would like to thank you for contacting me regarding the 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder. The car is in great shape, no accidents, no rust, no damage. I have a clean title, no lien on it. I am changing my car and this is the reason for selling this beauty.
I am not in Palmyra, IN right now due to work reasons. I am a Geologist, and I get transferred to a whole lot of places because of my nature of work. I did not knew how to make such a deal while I am out of Palmyra but I made some research and I am satisfied. Do you heard about eBay right? Well, we can use a Protection Program called VPP (Vehicle Purchase Protection) and is offered by eBay. There are no fees using this program and is safe for both of us. Let me tell you few words about how it works. First of all, we need to start a transaction with ebay, I can handle that from my part. Once the transaction is started, eBay will release a invoice with your purchase, you will receive it into your email address and they will explain how to proceed with the payment. Regarding the payment, you have to make a down payment of $3,000 to eBay, they will hold your payment until you receive and
register the car. It would be more easy to come home and make the deal personally but I can not leave my work. I done that before with a potential buyer but in the end he wanted to pay monthly payment and I don`t agree. My question is, Do you have the funds available?
Sorry for this large email but I do not want to play around. If you want to make in my way, then we have a deal.
If you have any other questions regarding the car or this transaction feel free to email me.
Thank you
Robert Norton
2 things alerted me to possible fraud before I google the VPP and was directed to this website.
1) the picture of the car had the license plate covered
2) the text of the reply had poor english for a “geologist”
Thank you for your posts and warnings.
