2nd EMAIL MESSAGE FROM SCAMMER:
Hey,
Thanks for your reply. I left the car at the shipping company and all i need is an address where i want it delivered. I will take care of the shipping charges as I told you in my first email. It will come with a clear title. I am a member of the eBay buyer protection program and using this service you will get a 3 days testing period after delivery. During those 3 days testing period I will not be getting any money. I need to know if you are interested so I can ask eBay to send you the details on this deal. If interested please include in your next email your contact info for eBay (name, address and phone number), so we can get the ball rolling.

3rd EMAIL MESSAGE FROM SCAMMER:
I’m sure you’ll better understand the whole process after eBay will contact you because it’s not complicated at all.
I’m paying some fees to eBay for mediating the deal. I start the transaction. They are sending you the invoice.
You make the payment to them and they will be holding the funds in their account until you receive and inspect the car and its papers.
All documents, including clear title and a bill of sale on your name will be provided along with the car. Once the money will arrive to eBay and they’ll let me know, the Shipping Company will ship it to your address. It is a door to door service.
The Shipping Company agent will transfer the title on my behalf at delivery. From the delivery day , you will have another 3 days to check the vehicle and the papers. If you’ll be satisfied with it ( which I believe ), then eBay will send the money to me.
If you’ll not be satisfied with it , eBay will send the money back to you and the Shipping Company will pick up the car.

How to report an online scam
If you think you are dealing with or have sent money to an online scammer, here is how to report the incident to state and federal authorities.
Where to report online scams to US authorities
1. File a complaint at the Internet Crime Complaint Center, ic3.gov
2. File a complaint using the FTC’s Complaint Assistant at ftccomplaintassistant.gov
3. Find the website of your state Attorney General and file a report there if possible. A phone call may be required.
Alert website owners via email
Forward the scam emails you received to the FTC (spam@uce.gov) and the owner of the website the scammer may be using as a vehicle or imitating.
• abuse@craigslist.org
• spoof@ebay.com
• fraudwatch@autotrader.com
If a scammer gives you a bank account number, report it to the bank immediately. The name and account number provided to you by a scammer is likely yesterday’s victim of the scheme. If you have emails, banks usually have abuse email addresses to which you may forward evidence.
Publish the email address
If you are reading this, maybe you found this site by searching on a suspicion. I operate another website called FightTheScams.com that is dedicated to publishing online scam information. If you still have emails that scammers have sent you, submit them to FightTheScams so others can find them the way you found me.
