I have been speaking with someone about a 2008 Sequoia that they have prices $30K below book, and are just wanting to sell it quickly. I have provided the e-mail trail as well as the fake confirmation e-mails from e-bay VPP. Please work to see that people like these are caught!!!
Hi Tim, the 2008 Toyota Sequoia is still available for the price of $14450 USD.
The car is in excellent overall condition, never involved in an accident, not a single dent, ding or scratch on it, clear title and clean carfax.
I am selling it for this price because I will be moving to the UK very soon and it would cost me a fortune to have it shipped all the way there and to register it. Another problem would be the fact that over there they have the steering wheel on the other side and it would be impossible for me to drive it.
I won’t be available for viewings and test drives, but I am able to have it shipped within the 48 lower states for $690.
Please get back to me asap and let me know if you are interested in a transaction.
All the best

Hi Tim, I suggest that we close this deal using the security provided by eBay’s Vehicle Purchase Protection Program on such transactions.
If we come to an agreement the Sequoia will be delivered directly to your home address and the cost for that and for the insurance will be $690. The car will be shipped by truck and that will take about one week.
The payment will be done to an eBay agent and after you receive and inspect the Sequoia, the money will be released to me. The transaction will be fully under eBay’s surveillance, giving us both security and insurance that nothing will go wrong. They are acting like a third party in this transaction. When the car arrives you have 5 days to see and test it which way you like. Within this period you have to decide if you purchase it or not.
If you decide to take it you will have to contact ebay and let them know that so that they can release the payment to me. If you won’t like it you will have to ship it back to me within the 5 days and ebay will refund you. The shipping back will be done on my own expense.
Please get back to me asap and let me know if you agree with this.
All the best

The shipping is handled by DAS Auto Shippers.
Here is how eBay’s Vehicle Purchase Protection Program works:
1. Buyer, seller reach an agreement.
2. Buyer sends payment to eBay.
3. eBay confirms to seller that the payment has been received.
4. Seller performs the required services (shipping, insurance).
5. Buyer accepts delivery and informs eBay about the acceptance.
6. eBay releases the money to the seller.
If you are ready to proceed with the transaction please let me know because I will have to contact ebay so that they can send you the payment invoice. For that I will need your full name, address and phone number because ebay might call you to confirm the transaction.
I will be waiting to hear back from you soon.
All the best
